Amicus is an exciting chamber ensemble based in Central Scotland. Founded in 2008, the orchestra aims to bridge the gap between amateur and professional musicians.

The more I think about, listen to and play music, the more aware I am of the danger of equal accents/stresses. If one sees a series of accents or couplets, say, it is all too easy to play them similarly, without contour; one would never do that in speech - nor should one in music
