Christian Kluxen regularly works with all the orchestras in his native Denmark. From 2010-13 he held the position of Assistant Conductor with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and recent seasons have included debuts with the Danish National Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony, Kristiansand Symphony, Gothenburg Symphony, Helsingborg Symphony, Strasbourg Philharmonic, RTÉ National Symphony in Dublin and Kremerata Baltica. In recent years he has formed a strong link with the Philharmonia Orchestra.
William Conway was born and grew up in Glasgow, and is well known as both conductor and cellist. After ten years as principal cello with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe, of which he is a founder-member, an Arts Council Award enabled him to further his conducting studies in Helsinki with Jukka-Pekka Saraste. He was a finalist and prizewinner in the 1994 Leeds Conductors’ Competition and has established himself as a conductor of versatility in chamber, symphonic and operatic repertoire.
He is co-founder and artistic-director of the innovative contemporary music group, Hebrides Ensemble. He has been presented with a Scottish Society of Composers Award for an outstanding contribution to the promotion of contemporary music. His recent performance of Das Lied von der Erde by Gustav Mahler in the Schoenberg version and Pulse Shadows by Sir Harrison Birtwistle with the group was enthusiastically received.
His conducting engagements include English Sinfonia, Chamber Orchestra of Europe (with whom he has made a CD recording released by Warner), Sofia Philharmonic, Orchestra de Filharmonie of Flanders, Zagreb Philharmonic, the American Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, Cairo Symphony Orchestra, the Belgian orchestra Beethoven Academie and Goettingen Symphony where he is a regular guest. Future plans include performances of Stravinsky's Soldier's Tale and touring a new opera around India
Garry Walker holds the positions of Permanent Guest Conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Conductor of Paragon Ensemble.
In the UK, Garry Walker has worked with such orchestras as the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic and Scottish Symphony Orchestras, National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, English Northern Philharmonia, London Sinfonietta, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the Orchestra of Scottish Opera.
Chamber orchestras include the Northern Sinfonia and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra.
David Danzmayr was born in 1980 in Oberndorf near Salzburg, and is currently Assistant Conductor of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
In 2003/04 David held the conducting stipendiate of the Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra under Pierre Boulez and Claudio Abbado. He was principal conductor of the Symphonic Ensemble Munich and from June 2006 he has held the position of musical leader of the Ensemble Acrobat in Salzburg. David was a prize winner in the 2005 Malko conducting competition.
